Carl Peters (instrument maker)

Johann Ernst Carl Ludwig Peters (born June 11, 1818 in Strelitz ; † February 27, 1891 in Neustrelitz ) was a German organ and instrument builder in Neustrelitz.

Live and act

Carl Peters was born as the eldest son of the tenant fisherman Johann Friedrich Daniel Peters and his wife Sophie Friedrike, b. Nikammer. At the age of 29, he took the citizens' oath on October 27, 1847 as an organ builder and instrument maker in Neustrelitz. He was mentioned between 1865 and 1885 with works and offers for organs.

Peters was married to Wilhelmine Adolphine Friederike, born March 1, 1848. Röpcke (* 1820), daughter of a day laborer and farmer from Neubrandenburg. He died at the age of 72 and was buried in Neustrelitz on March 2, 1891. He was referred to as an instrument maker in both the marriage entry and the death entry .
