Baron Carl Ramon Soter von Lederer (born April 22, 1817 in Cádiz , † September 16, 1890 in Gorizia ) was an Austrian diplomat .

Life

Carl von Lederer was born in Cádiz , Spain in 1817 as the son of the Austrian Consul General Alois von Lederer . He entered the diplomatic service in 1839, became legation secretary in Copenhagen in 1847 , and in 1852 Austrian chargé d'affaires in Modena and Parma . In 1855 he took over the management of the Consulate General in Warsaw .

From 1863 to 1868 he was Minister Resident at the Hanseatic Cities in Hamburg and from 1868 to 1874 Austrian Ambassador to the United States .
