Carl Schall (chemist)
Johann Friedrich Carl Schall (born February 24, 1856 in Brooklyn , † December 26, 1939 in Leipzig ) was a German chemist .
Life
From 1874 to 1879 he studied chemistry in Leipzig, Berlin and Göttingen. In 1881 the doctorate to Dr. phil. in chemistry at the University of Kiel with Albert Ladenburg , 1883 habilitation in chemistry at the University of Zurich . From 1883 to 1904 he taught there as a private lecturer, from 1904 to 1909 at the University of Leipzig . From 1909 to 1921 he was a non-scheduled associate professor there. In 1933 he signed the confession of professors at German universities and colleges about Adolf Hitler .
