Carl Schlieper
Carl Johann Philipp Schlieper (born August 20, 1903 in Fritzlar ; † April 14, 1989 in Stuttgart ) was a German zoologist .
Schlieper was the son of the businessman Ewald Schlieper. From 1922 he studied natural sciences at the universities in Rostock , Kiel and Jena. In 1929 he became a private lecturer in zoology at the University of Marburg , and in 1936 ao. Professor, 1941 associate professor. After the end of the war he was released in 1945, and in 1949 he was given the Venia legendi again. In 1964 he became a full professor at the University of Kiel .
In 1933 he joined the NSDAP and the SA , he was a member of the NSLB . In November 1933 he signed the professors' declaration of Adolf Hitler at German universities and colleges .
Together with Adolf Remane , he edited a standard work on life in brackish water .
