Carl Spiegel from and to Peckelsheim

Carl Spiegel von und zu Peckelsheim (born April 20, 1808 , † June 25, 1886 in Hanover ) was a German administrative officer, manor owner and member of parliament.

origin

His parents were the Real Secret Councilor Karl Emil Spiegel von und zu Peckelsheim (September 1, 1782 - September 11, 1849) and his wife Emilie Wilhelmine von Rotberg (January 26, 1787 - January 15, 1870).

Life

Carl Spiegel von und zu Peckelsheim studied law at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg . In 1827 he became a member of the Corps Saxo-Borussia Heidelberg . After graduating, he entered the Prussian civil service and became a councilor in Magdeburg . He was the owner of the Fideikommiss Spiegelsberge in Bielefeld and other manors. Most recently he lived on the Mirror Mountains. In the Prussian Army he reached the rank of captain.

From 1854 to 1858 Spiegel sat as a member of the constituency of Magdeburg 7 in the Prussian House of Representatives . At first he belonged to the von Arnim faction and from 1855 to the Graf Pückler faction.

family

In 1842 he married Sylvia Charlotte von Frankenberg and Ludwigsdorf (* October 11, 1819, † February 18, 1895), the daughter of the MP Leopold von Frankenberg and Ludwigsdorf . The couple had two children:

  • Karl Leopold (born March 27, 1851 - March 21, 1895), Herr auf Werna ⚭ 1886 Marie Anna (born April 30, 1863) von Krosigk , a daughter of General Gebhard Friedrich von Krosigk
