Gebhard Friedrich von Krosigk (* February 18, 1835 at Hohenerxleben Castle ; † May 29, 1904 at Gut Bischofferode near Ellrich in the Harz Mountains) was a Prussian general of the cavalry , most recently with the officers of the army.

Gebhard Friedrich von Krosigk was a member of the Upper Saxon noble family von Krosigk . His parents were the Anhalt District Administrator and Herr auf Hohenerxleben Gebhard Adolph Friedrich von Krosigk (* September 5, 1799 - March 3, 1856) and his wife Friedrich Ottilie Karoline Elisabeth von Westphalen (* October 5, 1800 - August 1, 1863) .

Career

He received his school education on the pedagogy in Halle . After graduating, he went on October 1, 1852 as a one-year volunteer in the Leib-Guard Hussar Regiment . There he was promoted to Portepeefähnrich on January 10, 1854 and to Seconde Lieutenant on July 16, 1855. He came to the 10th Hussar Regiment on October 3, 1855, and was there on June 30, 1859 Premier Lieutenant. On October 31, 1859 he became a squadron leader in the 10th Landwehr Hussar Regiment. There he was assigned to the military riding institute from October 1, 1860 to September 30, 1862. On August 11, 1892 he got the rank of commanding general and on January 27, 1893 he was appointed general of the cavalry.
