Carl Steineck

Johann Heinrich Carl Steineck (born June 18, 1821 in Arolsen ; † June 19, 1899 in Kassel-Wehlheiden ) was a German lawyer and politician.

Carl Steineck was the son of the steward and later court manager Johann Konrad Steineck and his wife Karoline nee Helmentag. He studied law and became an accessist in Arolsen in 1844. After graduating in 1848, he became a deputy judicial officer in Sachsenhausen. From 1849 he was a lawyer and from 1851 to 1854 mayor of Arolsen. In 1856 he became government secretary in Arolsen. In 1860 he moved to Korbach as a district judge , in 1866 he was appointed district judge in Arolsen and in 1867 there was appointed district court director. With the Reich Justice Acts in 1879 he became district court director in Kassel . In 1886 he retired. He was appointed to the Privy Council of Justice.

From 1851 to 1856 he was a member of the Waldeck-Pyrmont Landtag and was President of Parliament there . He was elected in 1851 in constituency X and in 1852 in the constituency of Twiste .
