The Bad Arolsen District Court (AG Bad Arolsen) was a court of ordinary jurisdiction in Bad Arolsen in the Waldeck-Frankenberg district ( Hesse ).

history

In the county of Waldeck , the first instance jurisdiction took place at the level of the offices and lower courts. The organizational edict of 1814, which was changed in 1816, led to the separation of the judiciary and administration. The county of Waldeck was divided into four main offices and correspond to four judicial districts. The Twiste Higher Justice Office, based in Arolsen, was thus founded. The state treaty of April 19, 1816 defined in Section 1 paragraph the spatial scope of the Twiste Higher Justice Office with the former offices of Arolsen Office (without Schmillinghausen , Herbsen and Hörle ), Landau Office (without Strote and Mengeringhausen ) and Wetterburg Office . At the head of the Higher Justice Office stood a higher justice officer.

In Waldeck, with the judicial reform of 1848/1849, a district court was formed in each of the now three districts. The Arolsen District Court was responsible for the Twiste district . With the accession agreement with Prussia from October 1867, responsibility for the judiciary in Waldeck was transferred to Prussia on January 1, 1868. The district courts were converted into local courts in 1869. The superordinate higher court Arolsen was closed and the LG Kassel took over the function of the second instance.

On December 31, 2011, the Bad Arolsen District Court was dissolved in accordance with the resolution of the Hessian State Parliament on September 15, 2011. The background to this is a decision as part of the Consolidation and Compensation (KuK) project of the Hessian Ministry of Justice from June 2010. Local jurisdiction was transferred to the Korbach District Court .
