District Court Naumburg (Hesse)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Naumburg District Court (until 1867 Naumburg Judicial Office ) was a court of ordinary jurisdiction that existed from 1822 to 1943, as a branch until 1970, with its seat in the city of Naumburg (Hesse) .

history

On January 1, 1822, the organizational edict of June 29, 1821 reorganized the state structure of the Electorate of Hesse, as a result of which the previous office of Naumburg , which was responsible for both administration and jurisdiction within its district, became the Naumburg judicial office, which only still acted as a lower court. The district of the justice office Naumburg, like the previous office Naumburg, consisted of the city of Naumburg and the villages of Altendorf , Altenstädt , Balhorn , Elben , Elberberg , Heimarshausen , Merxhausen , Riede and Sand .

After the annexation of Electorate Hesse by the Kingdom of Prussia in the German War in 1866, a reorganization of the court system in the former Electorate of Hesse was decreed in June 1867. The previous courts have been repealed and replaced by local courts in the first, district courts in the second and an appellate court in the third instance. As a result, the previous judicial office was renamed the Naumburg District Court and assigned to the district of the Cassel District Court .

Due to the Courts Constitution Act , there was a change to the district of the newly established Kassel District Court with effect from October 1, 1879 , but nothing changed in the district of the District Court itself.

In 1948 the Naumburg District Court lost its independence and became a branch of the Wolfhagen District Court . On July 1, 1970, this branch was also closed.
