District Court building

The district court was originally housed in the castle. After this had become too small, a separate district court building was built under the direction of the royal district building inspector Beherd and his successor, the building councilor Trampe. This is today's old building.

The old building of the district court was built from 1905 to 1907 in neo-Renaissance forms with several volute gables and thus refers to the castle. The high base of the building is made of stone , above which there is a symmetrical window structure. In the transept is in stone aggregate quartered lattice windows with a crowned fall. A striking tower-like dormer forms the end of the east facade . The building is due to its historical, artistic and urban importance under conservation . Together with the palace opposite, it shapes the palace square.

In 1958, a new building was erected next to the old building, which took account of the increased space requirements.
