District court Rotenburg an der Fulda
The district court of Rotenburg an der Fulda was a court of ordinary jurisdiction in Rotenburg in the district of Hersfeld-Rotenburg .
history
With the edict “The reorganization of the previous state administration” of June 29, 1821, justice and administration were separated in the Electorate of Hesse . In Rotenburg the Justice Offices Rotenburg I, II and III were established as courts of first instance. In 1836 the Rotenburg III judicial office was dissolved. The city of Rotenburg, Bebra and 11 other villages belonged to the Rotenburg I Justice Office . 29 villages were assigned to the Rotenburg II Justice Office. The two judicial offices were located in the stables of the castle .
In 1849, the Rotenburg Higher Court was set up as a court of second instance. This only existed until October 31, 1851 and was given the seat of the new city school ("Yellow School") built in 1832/33 in front of the lower gate, which had been demolished shortly before. From 1852 to 1863 there was instead a Rotenburg criminal court in addition to the two judicial offices .
After the annexation of Kurhessen by Prussia , the previous justice offices of Rotenburg I and II were merged to form the Rotenburg District Court in 1867. In 1879 the Rotenburg district court , which had only been established in September 1867, was dissolved and the district court moved into its offices.
In 1932, part of the judicial district of the disbanded Nentershausen District Court was assigned to the Rotenburg District Court.
On December 31, 2011, the Rotenburg an der Fulda district court was dissolved in accordance with the resolution of the Hessian state parliament on September 15, 2011. This was preceded by a decision as part of the Consolidation and Compensation (KuK) project of the Hessian Ministry of Justice from June 2010. The tasks of the Rotenburg an der Fulda District Court were transferred to the Bad Hersfeld District Court , which also took over the staff. There was sufficient space available in Bad Hersfeld, as the Bad Hersfeld Labor Court was dissolved at the same time .
