The Kassel District Court (AG Kassel) is a court of ordinary jurisdiction in the independent city of Kassel . It is one of six independent presidential office courts in Hesse. The other local courts in Hesse are assigned to the respective regional court in whose district they are located.

The seat of the court is in Kassel at Frankfurter Strasse 9. A branch is located at Friedrichsstrasse 32-34, a branch in Hofgeismar. The AG Kassel, based in Kassel, is locally responsible for the city of Kassel and the following communities in the Kassel district: Ahnatal, Bad Emstal, Bad Karlshafen, Baunatal, Breuna, Calden, Espenau, Fuldabrück, Fuldatal, Grebenstein, Habichtswald, Helsa, Hofgeismar, Immenhausen , Kaufungen, Liebenau, Lohfelden, Naumburg, Nieste, Niestetal, Oberweser, Reinhardshagen, Schauenburg, Söhrewald, Trendelburg, Vellmar, Wahlsburg, Wolfhagen, Zierenberg and for the community-free area of ​​the Reinhardswald estate.

Due to the concentration of jurisdiction, the AG Kassel, based in Kassel, is also locally responsible for copyright disputes for which the local courts are responsible, for the districts of the regional courts of Fulda, Kassel and Marburg ad Lahn (Regulation of September 30, 1974 - GVBl.
