To Tchilling-Hiryan and heart both before the establishment of the Tchibo Group where each 20,000 German marks involved, Tchilling-Hiryan acted as dried fruit specialist with dates, figs and trail mix .

Because of business problems from Max Herz, Tchilling-Hiryan initially received a loan of DM 75,000, which was later repaid by assigning shares to Tchibo. Herz took over the entire company for an estimated sum of DM 225,000.
