Carl Wilhelm Alfred Mauke

Carl Wilhelm Alfred Mauke (born October 21, 1824 in Hamburg ; † June 1, 1871 there ) was a German bookseller.

Life

Carl Wilhelm Alfred Mauke, son of Johann Wilhelm Mauke and grandson of Johann Gottlieb Mauke , worked as a bookseller in the Perthes, Besser & Mauke company. He was a member of the German Booksellers Association and, in 1871, a deputy member of the Literary Expert Association .

Mauke served in the Hamburg citizen military . There he was from 1857 to 1859 as first lieutenant adjutant and in 1860 major in the general staff . He held other offices, so he was judge from 1860 to 1863, chief judge from 1868 to 1870 and in this capacity he was a member of the guardianship deputation in 1870. In St. Petrikirche , Mauke initially acted as an adjunct from 1862 , from 1865 to 1870 he was a hundred eighty and in 1871 a local councilor.

From 1860 to 1862 Mauke belonged to the Hamburg citizenship , in 1861 and 1862 as secretary.
