Carl von Huzel

Carl August Huzel , from 1902 by Huzel , (born July 11, 1841 in Tübingen , † January 18, 1904 in Ludwigsburg ) was a Württemberg governor and district president.

Life and work

Carl Huzel was the son of a senior secondary school teacher. He attended grammar school in Tübingen and then studied criminal sciences in Tübingen , in 1865 he passed the first and in 1867 the second higher service examination. In 1866 he was secretary in the war ministry and from 1867 to 1870 actuarial administrator or senior actuary at the senior offices of Biberach, Kirchheim, Balingen, Ravensburg and Brackenheim. From 1870 to 1874 he held an office as unskilled worker and secretary to the Lord Mayor of Stuttgart, after which he became secretary in the Ministry of the Interior. From 1875 to 1883 he headed the Oberamt Blaubeuren as Oberamt and from 1883 to 1890 the Oberamt Hall . Since 1887 he was allowed to hold the title of government councilor. In 1890 he moved as a member of the board of the Württemberg Invalidity and Old Age Insurance Institution, from 1896 on with the title and rank of senior government councilor. During this time he was also a member of the forest management, extraordinary member of the administrative board of the building fire insurance and from 1894 also chairman of the court of arbitration for the agricultural trade association of the Neckar district. In 1900 he became President and thus head of the government of the Neckar District in Ludwigsburg. In 1904 Huzel died while on active duty.

Carl von Huzel was a sponsor of the Alb water supply and the Haller deaconess hospital. He also promoted the savings bank system, on his initiative the Württemberg savings bank association was founded in 1885 .
