Carla Senechal (born July 26, 1996 ) is a French bobsleigh driver who is active as a pusher.

Career

She switched from athletics to bobsleigh for the 2018/19 season and was trained as a pusher. She made her debut as a pusher on December 15, 2018 in the European Bobsleigh Cup . Together with the pilot Margot Boch , she took 15th place in Königssee . One day later, the two took 14th place in the second competition on the Königssee artificial ice rink . On January 10, 2019, Carla Senechal and Margot Boch were able to achieve a top ten position for the first time with tenth place in Innsbruck . On the following day, the two of them reached eighth place on the Igls bobsleigh toboggan rink . At the European Cup competition in Sigulda , Carla Senechal and Margot Boch made it onto the podium for the first time. Behind the two Russian bobsleighs by Lyubow Tschernych and Alena Ossipenko they took third place. At the same time as the European Cup, the Junior European Championship was held in Sigulda and they took second place in the U23 class and won the silver medal.

At the first European Cup of the 2019/20 season, Carla Senechal and Margot Boch were able to go straight back to the podium in the Norwegian municipality of Lillehammer . They finished second behind the Romanian bobsleigh by Andreea Grecu and ahead of the Russian bobsleigh by Alena Ossipenko . The two confirmed this second place on December 22, 2019 in Königssee when they again took second place behind Andreea Grecu's bobsleigh. Behind the two of them, An Vannieuwenhuyse's Belgian bobsleigh finished third. On January 11, 2020, both Carla Senechal and Margot Boch made their debut in the Bobsleigh World Cup and on their home track in La Plagne they were able to take sixth place. A week later, they took 13th place in Innsbruck on January 18, 2020.
