The 2018/19 season is the 14th season of the Bobsleigh European Cup , which is organized and hosted by the IBSF . Together with the North American Cup 2018/19, this racing series forms the substructure of the World Cup 2018/19 . The season began on December 3, 2018 with the first training for the European Cup races in Altenberg and ended with the men's two-man bobsleigh race on January 26, 2019 in Sigulda . The results of the eight races of the season at five different competition locations were incorporated into the IBSF Bobsleigh Ranking 2018/19 .

In the women's two-man bobsleigh, Alena Osipenko from Russia secured the overall standings ahead of German Laura Nolte and Swiss Eveline Rebsamen . Could in Patrick Baumgartner from Italy before the two German Bobsportlern Jonas Jannusch and Richard Oelsner the overall standings secure. Richard Oelsner secured not only the two-man bobsleigh but also the combined overall victory. Second and third place in the overall two-man bobsleigh were Simon Friedli from Switzerland and Mihai Cristian Tentea from Romania . In the combined classification, the Russian Rostislaw Gaitiukewisch took second and Jonas Jannusch third.

European Cup in Altenberg

The 2018/19 season of the European Bobsleigh Cup in Altenberg started between December 3rd and 8th . A two-man bobsleigh race for women and men and a four-bobsleigh race were held on the Altenberg racing sled and bobsleigh run.

European Cup in Koenigssee

Between December 9 and 16, 2018, the European Cup 2018/19 stopped in Königssee and the Königssee artificial ice rink hosted two two-man bobsleigh races for women and two men and two four-bobsleigh races.

In the Veltins-Eisarena in Winterberg , the Bobsleigh European Cup made a stop in the 2018/19 season between January 1st and 6th, 2019. There were two races each in the two-man women's and four-man bobsleigh. In addition, a two-man bobsleigh race for men was held.

European Cup in Innsbruck

The artificial ice rink Bob-Rodel Igls in Innsbruck was the stop of the Bobsleigh European Cup 2018/19 between January 7th and 12th. There were two races in the two-man bobsleigh for women and one race in the two-man bobsleigh for men. A total of three races were held in the four-man bobsleigh. The first two races, which were held on January 11th, consisted of only one race each. During the third race, the European Junior Championship in the four-man bobsleigh was held.

European Cup in Sigulda

The 2018/19 season ended between January 22nd and 26th with the European Cup in Sigulda . A two-man bobsleigh race for women and two two-man bobsleigh races for men were held on the Sigulda toboggan run. The women’s race and the second men’s race were used to determine the junior European champions in the respective discipline.
