Kira Lipperheide (born February 7, 2000 ) is a German bobsleigh driver and former athlete . Together with Kim Kalicki , she won the silver medal in the women's two-man bobsleigh at the 2020 IBSF World Championships.
On February 2, 2019, Kira Lipperheide was again active as a pusher for Kim Kalicki and the two started at the Junior World Championships on the Königssee artificial ice rink . In the competition they took third place behind the Austrian bobsled by Katrin Beierl and the Romanian bobsled by Andreea Grecu . The two Germans were also rated in the U23 classification and were able to win the junior world championship in this.
On February 8, 2020, she and Kim Kalicki competed at the Junior World Championships, which were held in Winterberg, just like a year before. They secured the junior world championship title in front of the Russian bobsleigh by Lyubow Tschernych and the Chinese bobsleigh by Ying Qing , both in the “normal” classification and in the U23 classification. This secured them a personal right to start at the 2020 World Championships in Altenberg . At the world championships on the Altenberg sledge and bobsleigh track , the two surprisingly won the silver medal behind the American Kaillie Humphries' bobsleigh and in front of the Canadian Christine de Bruin's bobsled .
