Anne Lobenstein (born February 28, 1995 ) is a German bobsleigh pilot and former pusher.

Career

The former track and field athlete, who was active at SG Motor Gohlis-Nord in Leipzig , came to bobsleigh in 2013 and was trained to be a pusher. On December 14, 2014 she made her debut in the European Cup as a pusher for Mariama Jamanka . The two finished eighth in the race in Königssee . Mariama Jamanka and Anne Lobenstein were among the top three bobsleighs for the first time in the 2015/16 European Bobsleigh Cup . On November 27, 2015, they took third place in the German triple victory on the track in the Veltins ice arena . A day later they celebrated their first victory and won in front of a Russian bob and Stephanie Schneider's bob . Due to the good results, Mariama Jamanka was promoted and was allowed to start at the World Cup in Altenberg in the 2015/16 Bobsleigh World Cup . In this competition, Anne Lobenstein was replaced by Franziska Bertels . On January 8, 2016, she made her debut at the World Cup in Lake Placid alongside Mariama Jamanka. The two finished seventh in the race. In the further course of the season Anne Lobenstein was no longer used as a pusher for Mariama Jamanka.

Then Anne Lobenstein was retrained to Bobpilotin and was in the season 2018/19 in Bob Europacup her debut as a pilot. She completed her first competition in Winterberg and came in fifth with her pusher Madlin Dossow . At the second competition of the weekend on January 6, 2019, the two were able to make it onto the podium in the European Cup for the first time. Behind the bobsleighs of Andreea Grecu from Romania and her compatriot Laura Nolte they took third place.
