Carli Ellen Lloyd (born August 6, 1989 in Fallbrook , California ) is an American volleyball player . She won the Olympic bronze medal in 2016.

Career

Lloyd began her career in 2007 at the University of California, Berkeley . From 2011 to 2018, the player was part of the US national team , with which she won the bronze medal at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro . She also won the Pan American Cup in 2012 and 2015, the Pan American Games in 2015 and the Nations League in 2018 .

Since 2014 Lloyd has also been active in various foreign clubs. She played in Italy with Yamamay Busto Arsizio (2012 Italian champion and cup winner and winner of the CEV Cup ), with Imoco Volley Conegliano and Pomi Casalmaggiore (2016 winner of the Champions League ), in Azerbaijan with Lokomotiv Baku , in Brazil with Hinode Barueri and Praia Clube Uberlândia , and since 2019 in Turkey at Eczacıbaşı Istanbul .

Lloyd has received several awards as “Most Valuable Player ( MVP )” or “Best Setter”.
