Carlo Albani (born February 23, 1687 in Urbino , † June 1, 1724 in Rome ) was an Italian nobleman and prince of Soriano nel Cimino .

Life

Albani was a scion of the Albani family, who immigrated from Albania in the 15th century , and was the most prominent representative of Pope Clement XI. came from. Carlo Albani was born in 1687 as the son of Orazio Albani († 1712) and his wife Maria Bernarda Ondedei. His older brother Annibale Albani was a cardinal and bishop of the Catholic Church. Carlo Albani was married to Teresa Borromeo Arese. The marriage had eight children, including his successor as Prince of Soriano nel Cimino, Orazio Albani.

From 1701 Albani was the Marchese of Soriano nel Cimino. In 1721 he was raised to the rank of prince by his uncle, Pope Clemens.
