Pier Leone Ghezzi
Pier Leone Ghezzi (born June 28, 1674 in Rome ; † March 6, 1755 there ) was an Italian painter, etcher and draftsman.
Pier Leone Ghezzi was a student of his father Giuseppe Ghezzi and was also active in the field of fresco and enamel painting . Pope Benedict XIV appointed him director of the mosaicist school and the galleries .
He owes his reputation above all to his skill in drawing caricatures . He had the gift of giving his characters a surprising resemblance despite the distortion of their facial features.
