Carlo Battisti (painter)

Carlo Battisti (born September 9, 1910 in Vienna , Austria-Hungary ; died November 2, 1985 in Bad Ischl ) was an Austrian painter and graphic artist .

Life

Carlo Battisti completed his art studies at the Volkshochschule in Vienna and then at the Matejko Academy in Krakow . At the end of the twenties he worked for the Art Studio J. Jolles as a tapestry painter . In 1938 he worked as a theater painter at the Vienna State Opera . From 1939 he did military service and was hired as a press and war painter in 1943 . He worked as a freelance artist from the mid-1940s. Many exhibitions followed, for example in New York City , Florida , Berlin and Dresden .

Carlo Battisti was awarded the Blue Flag ( Blue Ribbon excellent).
