Carlo Roberto Maria Redaelli (born June 23, 1956 in Milan ) is an Italian clergyman and Roman Catholic Archbishop of Gorizia .

Life

The Archbishop of Milan , Carlo Maria Martini SJ , ordained him a priest on June 14, 1980 .

Pope John Paul II named him on April 8, 2004 titular bishop of Lambaesis and auxiliary bishop in Milan. The Archbishop of Milan, Dionigi Cardinal Tettamanzi , donated him episcopal ordination on June 13 of the same year; Co-consecrators were Cardinal Attilio Nicora and Francesco Coccopalmerio , Auxiliary Bishop in Milan.

Pope Benedict XVI appointed him Archbishop of Gorizia on June 28, 2012. The solemn inauguration ( enthronement ) took place on October 14 of the same year.

On 25 January 2016 it appointed Pope Francis to the apostolic visitor for the Diocese of Acqui . From January to March 2018 he was Apostolic Administrator of Acqui during the Sedis vacancy . On July 29, 2019, the Pope appointed him a member of the Appeals Commission for serious criminal matters, the decision of which is reserved for the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith.
