Carlo Sgorlon

Carlo Sgorlon (born July 26, 1930 in Cassacco , Province of Udine , † December 25, 2009 in Udine , Italy ) was an Italian writer .

biography

Sgorlon studied the Italian language after attending school and later worked as a university professor.

His writing activity, which was shaped by life in the Friuli region , the events of the Second World War and emigration , began in 1960 with the publication of his debut novel "Il vento nel Vigneto".

His successful novel "Il trono di Legno", published in 1973, was awarded the Premio Campiello , as was the 1983 book "La conchiglia di Anataj". For his 1985 published novel "L'armata dei fiumi perduti" he received the Premio Strega .

Most recently he published his autobiography "La penna d'oro" in December 2008 .
