Carlos Schvartzman
Carlos Schvartzman (* 4. November 1947 in Asunción , Paraguay ) is a Paraguayan jazz - guitarist and composer .
Schvartzman, descendant of Jewish immigrants from Ukraine , studied at Berklee College of Music . He mainly plays bebop and hardbop . Since 1978 he has led various jazz formations. Since 1980 he has directed the male vocal quintet “Las Voces Nuevas”. He is professor at the Conservatorio Musical “Stael Rufinelli de Ortiz” and teaches guitar, piano and arrangement .
Schvartzman has two sons and a daughter.
