Carlos Vieira Reis

Carlos Vieira Reis (born January 19, 1935 in Chaves, Portugal ) is a Portuguese surgeon and writer doctor .

Vieira Reis was in Angola during the Portuguese Colonial War and later in Mozambique as a military doctor . After returning to Portugal in 1964, he returned to Angola in 1971, where he took over the management of the military hospitals in Luso (now Luena ) for 14 months before he was chief surgeon in Cabinda until December 1973 . From 1976 to 1984 he was a teacher at the Medical Faculty of the New University of Lisbon . In the course of his further career he took on various national and international tasks, including as a representative of Portugal in EUROMED and in the Research Study Group on biomedical aspects of training at NATO .

At the same time he was active as a writer. For several years he has been President of the Sociedade Portuguesa de Escritores e Artistas Médicos ("Association of Portuguese Doctors of Writers and Artists"). Also as a moderator of medical television programs etc. a. he appeared for the TVI . He is a member of Poetas del Mundo .
