Carmen Losmann

Carmen Losmann (* 1978 in Crailsheim ) is a German film director , screenwriter and film producer . She lives and works in Berlin and Cologne .

Life

Carmen Losmann first studied marketing in England for three years and graduated with a bachelor's degree . From 2003 to 2008 she studied at the Cologne Academy of Media Arts in the film / television department. Film role models for Losmann are the directors Harun Farocki , Fred Wiseman and Hartmut Bitomsky .

During her studies she made documentaries in which she dealt with the subject of the world of work. The film Work Hard Play Hard , which premiered in 2011 at the DOK Leipzig in the international competition, has been awarded numerous prizes.

In 2012 she won the Gerd Ruge project grant for her Hypo Real project .

Your documentary film project Oeconomia , which was co-produced with ZDF and 3Sat, celebrated its world premiere in the Forum section at the Berlinale 2020 .
