Carmen Stange (born October 29, 1955 in Schlagenthin ) is a German politician ( CDU ).

Education and life

Carmen Stange did an apprenticeship in business administration after completing the 10th grade at the POS . She later studied and graduated as a financial economist. From 1980 to 1990 she was the economic director for civil engineering and healthcare.

After leaving the state parliament, she works as a freelancer in the areas of public relations and architecture and art trips. and until May 2016 as BWA state manager for Saxony-Anhalt.

Carmen Stange is a Protestant, divorced and remarried, has a son.

Today her name is Carmen Niebergall and she lives in Magdeburg .

Carmen Stange has been a member of the CDU since 1979 and was an assessor on the state board of the CDU Saxony-Anhalt from 1990 to 2000 . In 1990 she was elected as a member of the GDR's first freely elected People's Chamber . From 1990 to 1994 she was State Secretary for Women and Equal Opportunities for the State of Saxony-Anhalt.

In the state elections in 1994 and 1998 , she was elected to the state parliament via the state list. In the state parliament she was a member of the committee for work, health and social affairs and the committee for equality, children, youth and sport. To state election in 2002 it has not raced for more.

She was a member of the Central German Broadcasting Council for over ten years.

From 2005 to 2011 she was an assessor in the state board of the State Women's Council of Saxony-Anhalt and was a member of the Magdeburg Business Women Working Group (AMU). from 2010 to 2015 she is the honorary chairwoman of the Demography Advisory Board Saxony-Anhalt. At the beginning of May 2016, she asked to be removed from the board of the Demography Advisory Board. Furthermore, she is the vice-chairperson of the association of former members of the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt and a member of the association of former members of the CDU / DA parliamentary group of the 1st freely elected people's chamber. She is a founding member of the foundation constitutional state Saxony-Anhalt. Since October 2018 she has been a board member at RKW Saxony-Anhalt. She has been a lay judge in Magdeburg since the beginning of 2019.
