The Carmichael River is a river in the east of the Australian state of Queensland .

River course

The river arises on the southern slopes of the Darkies Range , around 220 kilometers south of Charters Towers , through the confluence of Dyllingo Creek and Surprise Creek . From there it flows to the east and flows into an inland delta , the southern arm of which is the Cabbage Tree Creek , in the Belyando River .
