Carol Martin (born April 19, 1948 ) is a former Canadian discus thrower , shot put and javelin thrower .

life and career

In 1966 she won bronze in the discus throw at the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Kingston and was seventh in the shot put. The following year she won silver in the discus throw at the Pan American Games in Winnipeg in 1967 . In 1970 she won again bronze in the discus throw at the British Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh ; She was sixth in the javelin throw and tenth in the shot put. After bronze in the discus throw at the Pan American Games in 1971 in Cali, she again won bronze in the discus throw at the British Commonwealth Games in 1974 and was eleventh in the shot put.

Martin was Canadian discus throwing champion four times (1967, 1968, 1969, 1972), and between 1964 and 1974 she won eight silver and three bronze medals at national championships in discus, shot put and javelin.

Martin earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) from York University in 1975 and graduated from Sutherland Chan School of Massage seven years later . She has been working with the International Network of Esoteric Healing since 1989 . She lives in Barrie .
