Carola Toelle (born Henriette Dorothea Helene Karola Toelle on April 2, 1892 in Hannover-Linden ; † January 28, 1958 in Berlin-Grunewald ) was a German actress .

Life

She came to the Deutsches Theater in Berlin in 1916 and from 1917 received leading film roles at Deutsche Bioscop, later also at other production companies. After six years she finished her intensive film work and devoted herself entirely to the theater.

As a freelance actress, she performed at the Deutsches Künstlertheater and the Deutsches Theater in Berlin as well as at the Small House of the Municipal Theaters in Frankfurt am Main. During the Second World War she took on a few supporting roles in films.

After the end of the war she worked at the Dresden State Theater and from 1951 at the Renaissance Theater in Berlin.

Shortly before her death, Carola Toelle stood in front of the camera again. She was one of the stars who appeared in the film "That Was Only Once" when she was herself.

She was married to the actor Ernst Stahl-Nachbaur from 1919 to 1925 . Her sister was the actress Uschi Elleot .
