Caroline Fleming
Caroline Fleming , née Caroline Elizabeth Ada Iuel-Brockdorff (* 1975 at Valdemars Slot , Tåsinge , Denmark ) is a Danish model , presenter and former baroness .
Life
Caroline Fleming grew up on Valdemars Slot (Waldemar Castle) near Svendborg as the daughter of the feudal baron (Danish name for the firstborn son of a baron) Niels Krabbe Iuel-Brockdorff and his wife Margaretha. She is the eleventh generation of the landowner in the direct line of descendants of the Danish naval hero Niels Juel .
On October 13, 2001, she married the British Rory Fleming, who belongs to the fourth-richest family in England and nephew of James Bond -author Ian Fleming 's. With that she lost her Danish baroness title. The couple have two children together, Alexander William (born April 7, 2004 in Portland Hospital, London) and Josephine Margaretha Victoria (born December 20, 2006). Josephine's godmother is Crown Princess Mary . In 2003 and 2004 she gradually acquired an eighty percent stake in Valdemars Slot for 25.1 million Danish kroner (around 3.4 million euros ) from her father.
Caroline and Rory Fleming have been separated since 2008; allegedly one of the reasons was that Rory Fleming insisted on sending Alexander to boarding school once he was six years old. According to the British newspaper Daily Express, Caroline Fleming received a severance payment of over 400 million pounds sterling (then approx. 500 million euros) in the course of the divorce . The divorce became final in summer 2011.
She wrote the cookbooks “ Baronessen går i køkkenet ” (German: The baroness goes into the kitchen ) and “ Baronessens sunde fastfood ” (meaning: healthy fast food from the baroness ) and a guide ( Lykkelig nu!, German: Happy now! ) and designed a perfume series consisting of Eau de Vie (Eng .: water of life ) and Eau de Vie: Josephine , the latter named after her daughter Josephine Victoria. She also appeared in reality shows , including “ Baronessen flytter ind ” (German: The Baroness moves in ), and has been the host of “ Danmarks næste topmodel ” (Danish counterpart to Germany's Next Topmodel ) since September 22, 2010 , both of them shows on the transmitter channel 4 .
Between 2009 and 2011 Fleming was in a relationship with the Danish soccer player Nicklas Bendtner . Their son Nicholas was born on December 16, 2010 in London.
In 2011 she sold her 80 percent stake in Valdemars Slot back to her father for 52 million kroner (around 7 million euros).
