Eugene Martin Nugent
Eugene Martin Nugent (born October 21, 1958 in Gurtaderra Scariff ) is an Irish clergyman and diplomat of the Holy See .
Life
He was ordained a priest on July 9, 1983 by the Bishop of Killaloe , Michael Anthony Harty .
Pope Benedict XVI appointed him on February 13, 2010 titular archbishop pro hac vice of Domnach Sechnaill and apostolic nuncio in Madagascar and apostolic delegate on the Comoros . The episcopal ordination donated him to the Cardinal Secretary of State and Cardinal Chamberlain , Tarcisio Cardinal Bertone SDB , on June 29 of that year; Co- consecrators were Pier Giorgio Micchiardi , Bishop of Acqui , and Nestorius Timanywa , Bishop of Bukoba .
On March 13, 2010 he was also appointed Apostolic Nuncio to Mauritius and the Seychelles .
Pope Francis appointed him Apostolic Nuncio in Haiti on January 10, 2015 .
