Carrie Ann Inaba (born January 5, 1968 in Honolulu , Hawaii ) is an American dancer , actress , singer and choreographer .

Life

Inaba was born in Hawaii in 1968. She has Chinese , Japanese, and Irish ancestry.

From 1986 to 1988 she lived in Tokyo , where she worked as a singer. Inaba released three singles: Party Girl , Be Your Girl and Yume no Senaka .

When she moved back to the US, she played from 1990 to 1992 in the comedy telecast In Living Color with. She also took part in 1993 as a dancer on Madonna's world tour The Girlie Show World Tour . Appearances in various television programs and films followed.

Since 2005 she has been a member of the jury for the dance show " Dancing with the Stars ".
