Carrington Visor
Carrington "Carren" Visor Jr (* 14. May 1934 in Washington, DC ) is an American saxophonist of modern jazz .
Carrington Visor is the son of an orchestral musician and at the beginning of his musical career worked in his hometown in the band of the Howard Theater as well as in various other bands. He then went to the west coast and played from 1958 with Curtis Counce , the Lighthouse All Stars and 1960/61 in the Chico Hamilton Quintet. After that he was a member of Louie Bellson's band for a year and a half , with whom he also made records and appeared on the Pearl Bailey Show . 1964 played with Benny Carter and worked on his album Tickle Toe with. 1964/65 he appeared with the band of Terry Gibbs on a television show; In 1965 he played in the Monterey Festival Jazz Orchestra under the direction of Dizzy Gillespie and Gil Fuller . In 1966 he was still working with Walter Benton ; then Visor disappeared from the jazz scene.
