Carsen Campbell (born December 9, 1994 ) is a Canadian biathlete .

Career

Carsen Campbell took part in international competitions for the first time in 2012 as part of the Junior World Championships in Kontiolahti . In the individual he was 41st and in the sprint he reached 78th place. The next year he again took part in the Junior World Championships and was among the top 40 athletes in both the sprint and the pursuit. With the Canadian relay he reached 18th place. In the 2013/14 season Campbell started in the IBU Cup for the first time, but missed the points by far. Also this year he took part in the Junior World Championships and achieved a placement among the top twenty starters in all individual races. His best result was a 14th place in the sprint. With the season he could even reach the 6th place. In the next season he started again in the IBU Cup and improved slightly, but at the Junior World Championships he could not match the results of the previous year and did not achieve a placement in the top twenty.

In the season 2015/16 Campbell started for the first time in the Biathlon World Cup . In the sprint in Presque Isle he was 78th and with the relay he reached 15th place. The following season he started at the European Championships . His best individual placement was a 64th place in an individual. With the Canadian relay he reached 15th place.

At the beginning of the 2017/18 season , Campbell, together with Sarah Beaudry , achieved two top ten placements in the IBU Cup in the single mixed relay. With a 4th place in the single mixed relay in Sjusjoen , he narrowly missed his first podium in the IBU Cup. In Oberhof he again took part in World Cup races and reached tenth place with the relay. In both Oberhof and Antholz he took part in the sprint race of the World Cup and achieved an 82nd place as the best place. Also at the European Championships in 2018 he reached a top ten placement with Sarah Beaudry in the single mixed relay. With a 56th place overall in the IBU Cup, this was his best season so far.
