Sarah Beaudry (born March 19, 1994 in Prince George , British Columbia ) is a Canadian biathlete .

Career

Sarah Beaudry lives in Prince George and starts for the Caledonia Nordic Ski Club , where she is trained by Rob Swan and Richard Boruta. She made her international debut as part of the Biathlon Junior World Championships 2011 in Nové Město na Moravě , where she achieved the best results, 33rd in the individual and eighth with the Canadian relay. A year later in Kontiolahti , these results were already the worst for the Canadian, in the sprint she was 26th, in the pursuer 20. Before that, she won her first international medal at the North American Championships in the summer biathlon 2012 in Canmore behind Rosanna Crawford with silver in the pursuit race . At the Biathlon Junior World Championships 2013 in Obertilliach , Beaudry barely missed a medal in the individual, in 2014 in Presque Isle she won the bronze medal after a 29th place in the sprint thanks to an almost faultless shooting performance in the pursuit race with bronze behind Galina Vishnevskaya and Luise Kummer . In the individual, she was also sixth.

Beaudry made his debut in the IBU Cup in Ridnaun in 2014 and won points as the 29th of an individual. So far, she has not been able to place better in the racing series. In Hochfilzen she contested her first race in the Biathlon World Cup the next season . With Megan Heinicke , Rosanna Crawford and Audrey Vaillancourt , she just missed the top ten in eleventh place, and in the sprint she just missed the pursuit of the top 60 in 63rd place.
