Canadian Biathlon Championships 2013
The 2013 Canadian Biathlon Championships were held from March 16 to 20 at the Whistler Olympic Park in Whistler , Canada . The races took place under the title Sea to Sky Nordic Festivals , which also included the national championships in ski jumping , cross-country skiing and Nordic combinedwere carried out. Both men and women competed in the disciplines of mass start, sprint and pursuit as well as together in the mixed relay. In addition to the Canadian biathletes, US-Americans and Russians also took part as guest starters in the competitions, which were not included in the official ranking of the Canadian championships, but in the North American biathlon championships that were held at the same time .

All participants in the sprint race also started in the pursuit. Nathan Smith forgave the victory with a jump start, which was punished with a time penalty of 30 seconds. The best American was Raileigh Goessling in third place.
