Macx Davies lives in Canmore and starts for the Canmore Nordic Ski Club . He is coached by Richard Boruta and has been a member of Canada's national junior squad since 2009. He began his career as a youth athlete on a national level. At the Canadian Youth Championships 2010 in Canmore, he won the silver in the sprint and the bronze medal in the pursuit. A year later he was second in the individual and sprint and third in the pursuit race in Charlo. She also took part in the Junior World Championships for the first time in Nové Město na Moravě and was 34th of the individual, 19th of the sprint, 29th of the pursuit and Stuart Harden and Christian Gow seventh of the relay race. He also took part in the Junior World Championships in Kontiolahti in 2012 and finished 72nd in the individual race, 61st in the sprint and with Jasper MacKenzie , Aaron Gillmor and Kurtis Wenzel in sixth place in the relay race. Nationally, he won the silver medal in the Valcartier sprint . In 2013 Davies took part in the Junior World Championships for the third time and finished eighth in the individual, 30 in the sprint, 33 in the pursuit and with the seventh season. In 2013 he also started in the junior races of the European Championships in Bansko and was 41st in the individual, 27th in the sprint and 17th in the pursuit. In the summer biathlon , Davies won the sprint and pursuit titles at the 2010 North American Championships in Canmore.
At the 2012 North American Championships in Canmore, Davies was fifth in the pursuit. In the 2012/13 season he achieved a podium finish for the first time in third with a pursuer in Valcartier behind Raileigh Goessling and Marc-André Bédard . In 2013 he competed in his first IBU Cup races in Martell and finished 46th in the sprint and 44th in the pursuit race. Shortly afterwards he won his first IBU Cup point in Osrblie as the 40th of an individual, and in the sprint he reached his best position in the racing series as 38th.
