Christian Gow (born March 28, 1993 in Canmore ) is a Canadian biathlete .

Career

Christian Gow starts for the Rocky Mountain Racers . He made his international debut as part of the 2010 Biathlon Junior World Championships in Torsby , where he was 23rd of the individual and 16th of the sprint, but fell back to 45th place in the pursuit race due to nine mistakes. With the Canadian season he was eighth with Edouard Côté and Aaron Gillmor . A year later he reached in Nové Město na Moravě the ranks 53 in the individual, 40 in the sprint, 27 in the pursuit and with Stuart Harden and Macx Davies seven in the relay race. In 2012 he took part in a Junior World Championship for the third time in Kontiolahti . In the individual, he missed the top ten in eleventh place by just one place, was 26th in the sprint, 15th in the pursuit and ninth in the relay. Gow won the national title at the Canadian Championships 2011 in Charlo with the youth relay.

In the 2012/13 season Gow made his debut in his hometown Canmore in the men's Biathlon NorAm Cup . In his first sprint, he narrowly missed the podium in fourth place, but then won the pursuit race based on it and defeated, among others, Wynn Roberts, an Olympic participant in the last Winter Olympics and Vincent Blais, the overall winner of the racing series from the previous year .

At the 2016 Biathlon World Championships in Oslo, he was the starting runner of the Canadian relay, which still included Nathan Smith , Scott Gow and Brendan Green , who won a bronze medal.
