Carsten Gossmann (born March 31, 1974 ) is a former German ice hockey goalkeeper who, during his active time from 1994 to 2002, played for the Düsseldorfer EG in the German Ice Hockey League .

Career

Carsten Gossmann began his career as an ice hockey player with Düsseldorfer EG , for which he made his debut in the German Ice Hockey League in the 1994/95 season . In his rookie year , the goalkeeper stood between the posts a total of twelve times. In the following season he and his team managed to win the German championship for the first and only time , where he himself was used in 14 games. After this success, the former junior national player left the state capital of North Rhine-Westphalia and signed with EV Duisburg in the second-class 1st League North .

In the summer of 1998 Gossmann signed with Duisburg's league rivals Ratinger Ice Aliens , with whom he was relegated to the Oberliga Nord . After he played only 15 times in this, he joined the regional league team Neusser EV , where he also spent a season, as in the 2001/02 season at his ex-club from Düsseldorf, where he then at the age of 28 ended his career.

International

For Germany , Gossmann took part in the U20 Junior World Cup in 1994 , where he finished seventh with his team. As a substitute goalkeeper, he remained in the seven games without use.

Private

In the 2017/2018 session he was the Prince Carnival , Carsten II. In the Düsseldorf Carnival . Carsten Gossmann is married and has two children.
