Carsten Keuler (born August 30, 1971 in Witten ) is a former German soccer player from Engers am Rhein .

Career

At the age of 15, the defender moved to 1. FC Köln and made the leap into the Bundesliga there . In 1994 he left Cologne for SG Wattenscheid 09 ( 2nd Bundesliga ). In 2001 he moved to SSV Jahn Regensburg in the Regionalliga , with which he returned to the 2nd Bundesliga in 2003. In 2005 he ended his active career at SV Wehen . Since the beginning of 2007 he played for SpVgg Bendorf in the district league A in the Koblenz district. In January 2008 Keuler moved back as a player to his home club FV Engers in the Oberliga Südwest , where he also took over the post of sports director. On September 20, 2008 Keuler took over the coaching position at FV Engers after Dieter Finkler's resignation and initially acted as player-coach, later as head coach. Since July 1, 2013 Carsten Keuler has been working as a trainer for SSV Heimbach-Weis in the district league A.
