Carsten Schäfer

Carsten Schäfer (born May 10, 1964 in Hamburg ) is a German legal scholar and professor at the University of Mannheim .

Life

Schäfer studied law at the universities of Hamburg and Heidelberg . After the First State Examination in 1990 and the Second State Examination in 1993, he became a research assistant at Heidelberg University. Here he was in 1997 with the investigation "The voting GmbH- business share " to Dr. iur. PhD. He then worked on a habilitation thesis supervised by Peter Ulmer , "The Doctrine of Defective Association " , with which he completed his habilitation in October 2001.

After a substitute chair at the University of Mannheim, he was appointed professor at this university on October 1, 2002. There he holds the chair for civil , commercial and corporate law .
