description

The Casa Morillo is a typical example of a fortified house with towers in the Alto Aragón region , northern Aragon in the Pyrenees . In the 16th century, the region was marked by political and social conflicts. At the same time, gangs made the area unsafe.

The three-story house is only preserved today as a ruin. The village was relocated for the construction of the Embalse de Mediano , so that gradually all buildings fell into disrepair. The defense tower on the north side of Casa Morillo was built on a square floor plan.
