The Cascade River is a river in the US state of Washington .

It flows into the Skagit River at Marblemount . It is a National Wild and Scenic River .

Southern source river

The southern source river , the South Fork Cascade River , rises from South Cascade Lake and flows briefly west before turning north and finally connecting with the middle arm and forming the Cascade River. About half of this way it winds through a long gorge called Box Canyon .

Medium spring flow

The middle headwaters, the Middle Fork Cascade River , originates at the end of the Middle Cascade Glacier , first flowing north and eventually turning west to flow into the southern arm and form the Cascade River. Before the mouth it falls over the Gemini Falls .

Northern source river

The northern source river, the North Fork Cascade River , rises from the Cascade Pass , then flows northwards until it turns and flows into the Cascade River. On its way it takes in several mountain streams.

Cascade River

The Cascade River begins at the confluence of the southern and central headwaters and flows north to the confluence with the North Fork . Then he turns to the northwest. At the mouth of Marble Creek , the river turns west until it flows into the Skagit River.
