Casper Ludwig von Below (* 1745 in Pennekow ; † April 22, 1794 ), was the royal Prussian district administrator and landscape director in West Prussia .

Life

family

Nikolaus Bertram von Below was a member of the Pomeranian aristocratic family von Below and son of Martin Ernst von Below († 1793), royal Prussian captain and lord of Reblin and Runow and Margarethe Henriette von Pirch († 1795).

Below married Alice von Silbergreen († before 1794) from Scotland , the marriage remained childless.

Career

Below was inclined to the military , but had to say goodbye immediately after falling from his horse . In 1763 he enrolled at the University of Halle to listen to philosophy and legal theory . He returned to Pomerania around 1765. In 1767, Below became a trainee lawyer at the War and Domain Chamber in Königsberg . Again he had to retire due to illness. After convalescence, passed the Rigorosum , in which he participated on his own request, on November 16, 1771 with good results. Thereupon he was appointed district administrator in West Prussia on November 13, 1772, where he headed the Dirschau district from then on . In 1785 Below joined the Freemasons , continued to acquire the Wyschkenzin estate in West Prussia in 1788 and was finally appointed West Prussian State Director in 1790.
