Caspar Weckerlin

Caspar Weckerlin (also Weckherlin ; * around 1580 in Strasbourg ; † after 1616 ) was a German physician.

Life

Not much is known about Weckerlin's life. 1606, he was at the University of Strasbourg to Dr. phil. PhD. 1613 he was a medical Respondent defense chaired by Otto Heurnius at the University of Leiden , and on August 14, 1615 he was at the University of Basel to the Dr. med. PhD.

Three letters from him to Caspar Bauhin have survived from 1616 : two letters from Strasbourg and one from Rottenburg am Neckar dated August 30, 1616, his further fate is unclear.
