Casper Bisgaard Sloth (born March 26, 1992 in Aarhus ) is a Danish football player who last played as a central midfielder for FC Motherwell in the Scottish Premiership .
Career
society
Casper Sloth began his career in the youth of Brabrand IF, who was playing in the third division at the time . He played for the Aarhus district club until 2004 before moving to the larger Aarhus GF club.
In December 2009, at the age of 17, he made his professional debut in the Superliga for Aarhus. With the club he rose in the 2009/10 and 2013/14 seasons in the second division. As a second division champion in 2011, the direct rise. After the second relegation in 2014, Sloth moved to England for the second division club Leeds United for a transfer fee of the equivalent of € 800,000 . For Leeds he came to thirteen league appearances in his first season. In the following season he remained without any consideration. He then moved back to Denmark from his contract in Leeds, which ran until 2017. He signed with Aalborg BK for a transfer fee of € 700,000 .
A year later, Sloth moved to Silkeborg IF . There he spent the next two years until he signed a contract with FC Motherwell from Scotland. After only one appearance in the League Cup against Annan Athletic in July 2019, he remained without further use for Motherwell. The contract in Scotland was terminated in January 2020.
National team
Casper Sloth played for various junior teams of the Danish Football Association between 2008 and 2013 , before he later made his debut in the senior national team .
He made his international debut for Denmark on August 27, 2008 in the U17 against Ukraine during the Syrenka Cup in Poland. From 2009 Sloth played in the U18 selection with which he took part in the Copa del Atlántico in Spain.
In 2010 he played three times in the U19 . A year later he took the U20 at the Milk Cup in part in Northern Ireland. The final was won against the host. Sloth scored two goals in the game against Israel over the course of the tournament .
Between 2011 and 2013 he played ten games for the Danish U21s . On November 14, 2012, he made his senior team debut against Turkey in Istanbul when he was in the starting line-up. He played his last of eight international matches in March 2014 at Wembley Stadium in London against England .
