The Cassandra Nunatak is a 425 m high Nunatak in the north of the Anvers Island in the West Antarctic Palmer Archipelago . It marks the east side of the mouth of the Iliad Glacier in the Lapeyrère Bay .
The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey carried out surveys between 1955 and 1957. The Nunatak was mapped using aerial photographs by Hunting Aerosurveys Ltd. from 1956 to 1957. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it on July 7, 1959 after Cassandra , daughter of the Trojan king Priam from Greek mythology.
